The Influence of International Trade Law on Sustainable Economic Development
Keywords:
economic development, international trade law, sustainability, trade policy, environmental regulationAbstract
International trade law plays a crucial role in shaping sustainable economic development by establishing a regulatory framework that balances economic growth with environmental and social considerations. This study examines the influence of international trade agreements, dispute resolution mechanisms, and trade policies on sustainable economic progress. Using a qualitative approach, the research analyzes case studies of trade regulations that promote environmental sustainability and fair labor practices. The findings indicate that well-structured trade laws contribute to long-term economic stability by fostering responsible resource utilization, reducing trade barriers for sustainable goods, and encouraging corporate social responsibility. However, challenges such as conflicting national policies and enforcement limitations remain. This study highlights the need for stronger international cooperation to align trade law with sustainability goals, ensuring economic development that benefits both present and future generations.
